Innocence in the Heart of Pine
This work is an ode to the sacred union between childhood and
nature, a vital link that is crumbling under the weight of our modern world.
Once abundant, nature recedes, giving way to iron and concrete.
This appeal is not for us, adults, cradled by memories of a generous
nature, but for these young shoots, these children growing up in a
world where contact with the earth and the fresh air of a forest is rare.
Today, city dwellers have lost the habit of feeling the
earth beneath their feet, of breathing the invigorating air of the forests. Parks,
once havens of peace, are overrun at the slightest ray of sunshine,
depriving children of this pure, calm, and meaningful nature.
This nature, the source of our existence, is in danger.
Let's save it so that our children can, tomorrow, contemplate its beauty and
feel its strength. "Heart of Pine" is a cry from the heart, a call for
help to preserve this precious heritage, so that future generations
can, in turn, find refuge in the arms of nature.
Crown of Silence
This dried thistle head is a still life, capturing enduring beauty beyond bloom. It speaks to us of transformation, the passage of time, and the strength found even in what appears to be withered. Once vibrant in color and attracting insects, it now stands as a symbol of resilience, a natural armor that has withstood the elements.
In our ever-changing world, where newness is often prioritized, this image invites us to contemplate beauty in simplicity and persistence. The sharp thorns can evoke protection and defense, a quiet strength revealed after the initial brilliance. The soft hues and diffused light create an atmosphere of serene melancholy, a reminder that each stage of life's cycle has its own beauty and meaning.
This thistle head is not an end, but a pause, a stage in nature's grand cycle. It carries within it the promise of the next bloom, the memory of past summers, and the strength needed to face the coming winters. It is an invitation to find beauty in the ephemeral, strength in transformation, and hope in persistence.
